TRINITY COUNTY ADVENTURES

I'll never forget the stories my dad used to tell about the Trinity Alps.

When he and his older brother were teenagers, they'd take off as
soon as school was out and spend the summer camping in the Alps, living off the land.

Even as a child listening to these stories, I used to wonder how their parents could let them go off like that, not knowing where they were or if they were all right.

But it was a different time then - kids were more independent, and parents didn't have to watch over them as closely as parents do today.
