Looking to Relocate to Northern California

by Michael Treadway
(Cumberland Gap, Tennessee)

I am presently living in Cumberland Gap Tennessee and my wife, brother and I are wanting to relocate to Northern California.

We are all disabled so we need to find a place that is safe, reasonably priced, and the living expense is reasonable. We like to fish, garden, volunteer our time to needy causes.

We are looking for an area that's similar to here, in the foothills, at a lower altitude with access to lakes and streams, have a small area for a garden with nice and friendly neighbors. If anyone can help us, it would be very helpful and we would be very thankful.

Wish I Could Help
by: Suzi

Greetings Heather,

I'm afraid what you're asking is way beyond the scope of what I can offer. Wikipedia has a list of the 100 most populous cities in California at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_California_cities_by_population - maybe that will help you.

I wish you luck and good fortune in your quest!

Cheers,
Suzi

Guess What: I Love Chico! :-)
by: Suzi

Greetings Michael,

Having read my website, you might suspect that I'm a little prejudiced, but I have to suggest the Chico area to you!

Chico, itself, sits in the valley at the base of the Sierra Nevada/Cascade Range foothills, but there are several smaller communities that are actually in the foothills like Paradise, Magalia, Forest Ranch, even parts of Oroville.

There's plenty of outdoor recreation including fishing, with Lake Oroville, the Sacramento River, and innumerable streams and creeks all nearby.

The people are friendly and giving, of their friendship and their time, energy, and money (when it comes to helping others).

I hope this is helpful to you and I wish good fortune to you and your family!

Cheers,
Suzi
